We are a group of volunteer health professionals who provide support for young wāhine who have suffered sexual assault.
We run 2-3 5-day retreats per year for small groups to empower them to manage their symptoms, provide them with skills to manage relationships, as well as many other practical skills to enhance their wellbeing. The participants gain much from building lasting friendships with others who have been through similar trauma and no longer feel so alone. We also run monthly follow-up activities for our young wāhine. They do not have to have attended a retreat to come to these activities.
