Ruahine Army Cadets

The Ruahine Cadet Unit is a voluntary military-style youth leadership training organisation and Branch of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.

Their aim is to teach leadership, comradeship, self-confidence and citizenship to both boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age. The New Zealand Cadet Forces were established under the Defence Act 1971 and comprises of the Sea Cadet Corps, New Zealand Cadet Corps and the Air Training Corps. The Ruahine Cadet Unit was formed on the 7th November 1991 and is part of the New Zealand Cadet Corps.
