Psychoactive Substances: Local Approved Products Policy

The Psychoactive Substances Act 2013 allows councils to develop Local Approved Products Policies which may restrict the location that psychoactive substances may be sold from within their territorial areas.

A local approved products policy is not mandatory, but Hastings District Council has chosen to develop a policy to guide the Psychoactive Substances Regulatory Authority in our decision-making on licence applications for the sale of local approved products.

The policy was adopted in December 2013.
