Two down and two to go: And Splash Planet’s Lots and Lots for your Tots toddlers’ programmes is proving hugely popular with the under 5s.
More than 100 littlies with their mums, grandparents and friends turned up for yesterday’s Mad Hatters Tea Party in their craziest hats, and then get down to the business of icing teeny cupcakes and colouring in. The fun didn’t end at noon, with many staying on to ride the train with “Squirt” and play in the toddlers’ pools.
Last week’s programme, The Great Splash Planet Treasure Hunt, was held on a scorching day and attracted nearly 200 children, ready to explore the fun park with the Splash Planet characters.
The success proves mums are looking for events and programmes they can take their youngsters too, said Splash Planet manager Peran Hutchings.
The next programme, on Wednesday (Dec 9), is all about wonderful stories, read by author Mary Kippenberger, and craft making. The following one, the last on December 16, will be full of magic, courtesy of the Great Wardini. Under 3s get in free to Lots and Lots for your Tots, while 3-5s and spectators cost $5.
